Man, Myth, Messiah by Rice Broocks is a very boldly and factually
written book. Rice Broocks, as you already know, wrote the book God’s Not Dead. He wrote the story
behind the movie. Now, he has done it in the new movie and put it in
this book: Man, Myth, Messiah.
Rice Broocks wrote this book with the intentions of proving that Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection really happened. He intended to prove that Jesus wasn’t just a man, Jesus wasn’t a Myth, but Jesus was and is the Messiah. He uses the scriptures from the Bible to help prove this, of course, but he also uses facts from sources other than the Bible. Rice Broocks dissects the incredible facts of history surrounding the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ and writes in detail what exactly we should learn from those facts. He also provides an excellent Notes section in the back of the book filled with many resources.

Each chapter is
filled to the rim with new things that even the oldest Christian can learn. Not
only can you learn about the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus, but
Broocks writes about all different kinds of views, cultures, and religions.
Each chapter begins with a quote or Bible verse that fits right into the
chapter and then the chapter ends with a summary of everything in the whole
chapter. I enjoyed the summaries. Being a mom of two babies that need attention
24/7 makes it hard to stay focused on anything for an amount of time long
enough to retain and learn what you need to from it. If it wasn’t for the
summaries, I would have probably needed to reread the chapter one more time
before I moved on to the next in order to retain what I read. Not because the
writing isn’t retainable, but because of my attention span.
Rice Broocks writes
about each aspect of Jesus’ journey on the earth. He also highlights the
significance of each step of Jesus Christ fulfilling His purpose for being on
earth. In order for us to understand why each step is significant, we have to
dig deeper into the details and
I would highly
recommend this book for anyone and everyone that’s needing some reassurance of
how real the story of Jesus really is. This clears up any kind of doubt anyone
should have about the existence and occurrence of Jesus’ life, death, and
resurrection. Also, for those Christians that are fulfilling their commission for Jesus Christ by witnessing to other people and non believers, this will definitely help with any kind of debates that those people bring up. It is a book that I will keep in my personal library to study.
I received a free copy of this book from booklookbloggers in exchange for a book review.
